EPPING — One person was killed in a head-on collision on Route 125 near the Pondside Motel, according to Epping police. Epping Police Lt. Stephen Soares said police responded to Route 125 at 1 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a head-on motor vehicle crash with serious injuries.
Hampton woman released after allegedly firing gun at ex-boyfriend's apartment
HAMPTON — A woman charged with firing a 9-millimeter handgun round through the apartment door of her former boyfriend was released without bail on personal recognizance. Erin McCarthy, 38, of Hampton, was arraigned Monday, July 22, in Hampton District Court. She stands accused of multiple felonies for allegedly firing the gun inside an apartment building, sending a bullet through the door and into the kitchen of her former boyfriend on the morning of July 19. The incident took place at the Olde English Apartments in Hampton, where she and the victim live in separate units.

SEABROOK — Three Seabrook police officers were honored recently with their department’s Life Saving Awards for their responses to life and death situations. Seabrook Police Chief Brett Walker said officers Timothy Scott, Richard Hines and Tyler Houldsworth went “above and beyond the call of duty” by immediately administering life-saving medical care to victims before the arrival of Seabrook’s Fire Department personnel. Their quick thinking and willingness to provide care without delay, according to Walker, may have prevented the victims from suffering more dire consequences from their injuries, including loss of life.
