EXETER — Healing and hope flow through the two Body of Work exhibits at the Seacoast Artist Association in downtown Exeter during the month of July, "Moonlight Blues," by Newmarket sculptor Natasha Dikareva “encapsulates my reflections on the tumultuous events unfolding around the world and in my homeland, Ukraine. This series of sculptures merges the raw, grounding nature of clay with the fragile beauty of blown glass, creating a visual dialogue that speaks about resilience and delicate hope that persists within adversity.
“These sculptures evoke a sense of melancholy, mirroring the sorrow and uncertainty experienced by many. Yet, within this somber mood lies a glimmer of optimism—a hope that this year might bring an end to the war that has ravaged Ukraine. Each piece in this collection is a testament to the enduring spirit of those who continue to dream of peace, even in the darkest of times. The hands of these sculptures symbolize the hands of humanity, gently holding our collective fate. A pearl of wisdom represents the essence of knowledge. It helps to address the root causes of conflicts and promotes healing and unity.

“Interoception” is the new show of florals by Paige Lindsey, artist, creative entrepreneur, watercolor educator, live event painter and podcaster based in Exeter, NH. “An awareness of internal and emotional sensations, through a focus on watercolor and acrylic florals, I strive to push boundaries and grow beyond the limitations that have been set by myself, society, friends and family using color, form, emotion and movement.” Her floral paintings shine with vibrant colors and intricate brush strokes filled with deeply rooted emotions.
Lindsey's art reflects an array of feelings based on personal experiences with loss, uncertainty, rejection, hope, abundance, joy and beauty. With her vibrant and expressive approach to painting, Lindsey aspires to share her creative vision and the emotions found within her paintings with her viewers to feel more connected and supported. “My paintings are intended to inspire others to grow beyond their own boundaries, find strength and courage when faced with adversity and to live a life they deserve to live - full of creativity, joy, love and beauty.”

Meet the artists at the SAA’s monthly Second Friday reception on July 12, 5-7 p.m. and enjoy refreshments with classical music performed by organist Terrie Harman with Anne Corriveau on vocals.
