Camelot Farms Equestrian Center, a full-service horse farm and equestrian facility owned and managed by The Fripp Island Resort, officially announced the addition of a campground to the property, boasting six campsites, each equipped with RV hookups and safe paddocks for up to two horses.

The campground facility sits in a shaded area of the 62-acre property under centuries-old Live Oak trees. Each of the six sites comes complete with water and electric (30 amp) hookups, along with a 20’ x 60’ paddock at the back of the lot, designed to accommodate a maximum of two horses. A bathhouse with showers and restrooms is also located onsite for convenience.

“We are thrilled to add this unique facility to our stable of offerings at Camelot Farms,” said Tom Frost, Fripp Island Resort General Manager. “Fripp Island Resort is focused on creating fun memories with the entire family - from pet-friendly beaches and vacation rentals and now, horse-friendly campsites. This investment provides an enhanced experience for Resort guests and members and ensures that Camelot Farms remains a premier equestrian facility and event space.”

Each campsite booking includes exclusive access to Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort amenities. The resort is located on Fripp Island, a ten-minute drive from Camelot Farms. Resort amenities include 36 holes of golf, tennis, and pickleball courts, ocean cruises aboard the ‘Fripper II,’ restaurants, five pool complexes, and 3 miles of uninterrupted beach.

Campground rates are $100/night per site and include space for one horse. Additional horses are $25/night per horse. Stall boarding can be accommodated based on availability for $50/night per horse.

Camelot Farms Director Hailey Brown is leading efforts to expand educational and family programming including group events and birthday parties at the equestrian center, a premier event space in the local area.

The equestrian center features a wide variety of family and kid-friendly programming and currently offers stall and pasture boarding, rider training, and trail rides – either on the Lowcountry trail or down the beautiful coastline along the Saint Helena Sound.

The coastline excursion is the only beach ride offered year-round in the greater Beaufort area. All of Camelot’s trail rides provide a unique recreation opportunity for horse lovers, history buffs, and nature lovers alike.

“There is something special about experiencing the Lowcountry on horseback,” added Brown.

“Whether you’re riding for the first time, interested in hosting a party or event, or desire a place to vacation with your horse, we look forward to welcoming you.”

Camelot Farms is a full-service 62-acre farm on Saint Helena Island, conveniently situated between Dataw and Fripp Islands and only five miles from Hunting Island State Park. The picturesque facility borders the Lowcountry marshes along the Atlantic Ocean and is home to 54 horses.
