Danville Parks and Recreation held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday for the new splash pad in Doyle J Thomas Park. The ribbon cutting followed a soft opening on Monday. Danville City Council salaries triple to meet state standards
Members of Danville’s City Council will see a pay increase beginning in July 2025, thanks to changes made in the General Assembly. “The maximum pay under the state law is based on a city’s population,” said Danville Public Information Officer Arnold Hendrix. “For a city of Danville’s size, the mayor is now allowed a salary of $37,000.
