LeBron James , Kevin Durant , Stephen Curry , and the rest of Team USA were asked at what age they made their first dunk. Each of their answers was very different, with Curry being the oldest player to get his first dunk at 19, and big-man Bam Adebayo being the youngest at 11 years old.

Stephen Curry : "19 years old. Freshman in college, took me that long. Davidson College. Off the lob, two feet, two hands. It was a loud day on campus that day."

    Joel Embiid : "17. I started late."

Derrick White : "17? Probably the last one here."

Tyrese Haliburton : "First dunk? I was 14. No that's cap. 15 going on 16. Like the summer before my sophomore year. My dad has it on video."

    LeBron James : "Nah, I was 14."

Devin Booker : "I was 13 years old. Tip dunk, in game for the first time."

    Jrue Holiday : "13, maybe?"

    Kevin Durant : "13."

Anthony Davis : "13 years old."

    Jayson Tatum : "12? 12 or 13."

    Bam Adebayo : "11?.. Probably 6'6"."

Stephen Curry being the oldest player to pull off a dunk is unsurprising. Curry is one of the smaller players in the league, at just 6'3", and he specializes more as a shooter. But still, Curry has enough athleticism to pull off a dunk and has been able to do it in NBA games in the past.

As for Bam Adebayo, his height advantage at 11 years old would have allowed him to pull off a dunk pretty easily. Adebayo is now one of the biggest players in the NBA today, so his height only grew from that point.

LeBron James being only 14 and Kevin Durant just 13 years old when they were able to dunk a basketball is unsurprising, considering the ridiculous heights they have attained, at 6'8" and 6'11" respectively, and their slashing ability as players is among the best in the league.

Team USA's Magic Run Together Ended With Gold

Videos like these, where we get to see the players on Team USA interact with each other, showcase the incredible chemistry and camaraderie the group of players had with each other. This level of harmony among the players is perhaps a big reason that the team was able to secure the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This camaraderie, along with the immense star power, led to the gold medal game of Team USA against France to be the most-viewed Olympic basketball game in 28 years . It is truly incredible to see just how the eyes of the world fell to Paris as Team USA, led by three of the biggest stars in the basketball world.

Team USA will have a tall task to match the vibes, camaraderie, and star power of this roster for their next Olympic outing in 2028, as several of the key players on the team will be too old come time for the Los Angeles games. Perhaps we will see some of the younger players on this year's team make an appearance in Los Angeles in 2028.
