LeBron James has been making waves with his Lobos tequila brand for years and he's spending this summer working on advertisements to further grow its popularity. As a result, LeBron was featured in a James Bond-inspired commercial where he's a spy intentionally losing a poker game. The commercial ends with James being told his next mission will be with a partner, who's revealed to be Draymond Green.

This advertisement for Lobos 1707 seems to be paying homage to the James Bond franchise, with LeBron using the iconic 'My name is Bond, James Bond' line but with his own name instead. He laughs at the thought of Draymond being his partner before instantly crying, indicating there are more chapters to this story.

The commercial is paying homage to the James Bond movie 'Casino Royale' from 2007, which revolves around a poker game at a casino in Monaco. This is a compelling marketing campaign, getting fans excited to see how Draymond will figure into this. Green is one of the investors in the tequila himself, so it makes sense for him to join James in promoting it during the offseason.

LeBron James Looking Ahead To His 22nd Season In The NBA

James just spent most of the offseason traveling the world as part of Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics. He's finally getting a chance to rest before entering his 22nd NBA season where he'll still be expected to lead his team to success despite no player even coming remotely close to his longevity in the NBA.

James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists last season, was named to his 20th consecutive All-NBA team, and capped off the summer by winning FIBA Olympics MVP. He hasn't regressed enough to be taken out of the conversation of being a top-10 player in the NBA. While he isn't the clear-cut best like he was for the better part of two decades, being top-10 at age 40 in Year 22 is incredible.

The Lakers haven't made any moves that indicate they'll be exceptionally competitive this season. They have made no free agency signing to bolster their rotation, with no realistic trades popping up for them either. Hopefully, JJ Redick can implement a new system to maximize the pieces they already have to be a Playoff team.

The Lakers will open their season against the Minnesota Timberwolves , as James and Davis take on national team teammate Anthony Edwards along with Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. The Wolves were a better team by every measurable metric last season, so it'll be a tricky start to the season that the Lakers will hope to overcome ahead of a defining season.
