National Night Out festivities in Kearny set
The Kearny Police Department hosts its annual National Night Out festivities Aug. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. along Belgrove Drive between Afton Street and Bergen Avenue. In conjunction with the Community Oriented Policing unit and PBA No 21, attendees should expect presentations from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, the Kearny Fire Department, Hudson County Sheriff’s office, the NJSP chopper, the FBI and others.
MONSEY: MVA at Route 306 and Grandview Avenue; Injuries Reported
A motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Route 306 and Grandview Avenue. Hatzoloh EMS and the Ramapo Police Department responded promptly to the scene. Hatzoloh transported one female patient to Nyack Hospital.

Three people shot in Jersey City in 25-hour span
Three people were shot in Jersey City between early Sunday and early Monday morning and three people were robbed at gunpoint, capping a violent weekend in the city. A man was shot in the right clavicle, left buttock, and groin region in the first shooting, at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, on Bright Street near Route 78, Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.

3 firefighters hurt battling 4-alarm fire that burned through Hunts Point business
Three fighters were hurt while battling a four-alarm fire that burned through a Bronx business on Tuesday.The fire broke out in the business on Tiffany Street in the Hunts Point section just after 12:50 a.m.Heavy flames shot through the structure.It took hours for crews to get the fire under control.Three firefighters were taken to Jacobi Hospital.
