Uptown Getdown music series to return to Marion in August, here's who will be preforming
MARION, Iowa — The Uptown Getdown music series is coming to uptown Marion beginning August 1st. That music series is being hosted by the Marion Chamber of Commerce. Organizers say music goers will have the chance to enjoy live music -- and great food -- in the heart of town. This year's events are being held on 7th Avenue due to the ongoing construction in City Square Plaza.

Officials: Davenport River Drive fully reopen after summer flooding
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - After late summer flooding, River Drive in Davenport has fully reopened, just in time for the Quad-City Times Bix 7 race weekend. “Great news, River Drive has fully re-opened,” Davenport Public Works posted to Facebook Thursday. “As we recover from flooding and head into Bix weekend, many have also been asking about the status of the traffic circle at the foot of the Government Bridge.”
