Braves latest rotation concern was avoidable and lesson for Alex Anthopoulos
The Atlanta Braves may never reach their potential in 2024 and if we had to list one reason why, it would be injuries. Looking at their roster, just about every impact player has seen some sort of injury. The preseason favorite for the NL Cy Young award, Spencer Strider, went down with a torn UCL, cutting his season short. The preseason favorite for the NL MVP award, Ronald Acuña Jr. lost his season to a torn ACL.

Braves pulling out all the stops to try and fix reeling offense with bonkers lineup
The Atlanta Braves are in one of the more intriguing spots ahead of the 2024 MLB trade deadline. They have a few obvious holes that they need to fill, most notably in the outfield. Since they haven't filled the hole just yet, manager Brian Snitker is getting a bit creative in their outfield and in their lineup.
Adam Duvall leads off, with Ramon Laureano in center for Atlanta
Atlanta’s lineups this season have gone from stacked in game 1, gradually downhill after all their injuries and bad luck. This one might be a new low point, however, with Adam Duvall, of a 67 wRC+ and -0.5 fWAR leading off. To be fair, it is against a lefty starter and Duvall has faired better against southpaws, but the point remains. Jarred Kelenic gets the day off, which also means that Ramon Laureano is playing center field. Luke Williams rounds out the outfield, playing left field and batting ninth. Travis d’Arnaud gets the nod at catcher after Murphy caught Saturday’s game. It’s not great!
Braves look for series split in Flushing behind Reynaldo Lopez
The Atlanta Braves will try to salvage a series split Sunday when they wrap up a four-game series against the New York Mets. Spencer Schwellenbach delivered a tremendous start Saturday to help give Atlanta a slight edge over the Mets in the standings and Reynaldo Lopez can help extend that lead with another good start today.
Mark Meadows seeks Supreme Court intervention in bid for immunity from Georgia election subversion prosecution
Mark Meadows’ lawyers say they’ve asked the Supreme Court this weekend to take up his bid to move the Georgia election subversion prosecution against him to federal court, where the former White House chief of staff to ex-President Donald Trump would bring arguments that he is entitled to immunity from the charges.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Showers and storms are returning through the evening as a frontal boundary enters the region. Storms will be slow moving at times leading to localized flash flooding. Stronger storms may contain gusty winds. The highs today will be in the upper 80s to near 90s. Next...
Trading for accomplished Rockies veteran could prove to be Braves outfield answer
Of all the possible Atlanta Braves outfield targets, there simply isn't one answer to fix this offense. Yes, the team can greatly improve and there are better offensive options on the market. However, if the season is going to turn around it isn't going to be because of deadline additions alone.
