Neillsville School Board Approves Several Items in Preparation for the Next School Year
The Neillsville School Board heard a building and grounds update at their meeting on Monday. The Board approved the Construction Management Agreement with Wendel Companies and the Construction Management Agreement with CESA 10. The Board also approved the food service meal prices for 2024-2025. Breakfast is $1.75, Elementary lunch is $3.25, and middle school/high school lunch is $3.75.
AJ Dillon and Wife Launch Foundation to Combat Hunger in Northeast Wisconsin
LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — AJ Dillon, and his wife Gabrielle, launched ‘The Dillon Family Foundation’ to tackle hunger in our area. The couple partnered with Feeding America in order to help as many people as possible. The foundation kicked off Thursday afternoon, packing 375 meals to be delivered to families across northeast Wisconsin.

Press receives state American Legion award
The Verona Press received a Public Relations Appreciation Award from the Wisconsin American Legion on Friday, July 12. Verona’s Mason-Lindsay Post 385 nominated community news reporter Maddie Bergstrom for an award in the Legion’s press category. Recipients are selected based on their support for the American Legion and veterans with stories.

Door County Republican Party Chair Stephanie Soucek said she had an up-close view of history in the making at this week’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Soucek, one of the 41 delegates representing Wisconsin, said she was seated in the fourth row with the state contingent next to the stage, where they participated Monday in nominating Donald Trump as the party’s candidate for president two days after he survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.
