New ALDI location opening in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Starting on July 25, those who shop at ALDI’s grocery store now have a new location to go to in La Crosse. The store is located at 4344 Mormon Coulee Road, and will have its ribbon cutting ceremony July 25 at 8:00 a.m., with the store opening after the ceremony. The first 100 customers in line will receive a “Golden Ticket” that could be worth up to $100.
Winona County woman indicted for phony cure that hurt instead of healed
ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Winona County woman has been indicted in federal court for selling a phony cure that left patients with additional injuries. Tammy Schultz Wadsworth, 62 of Stockton, has been charged with mail fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the State of Minnesota says Wadsworth cheated business owners of nearly $1 million through a multi-year sophisticated fraud scheme.
Group alleges discrimination after being denied service at Waunakee business
WAUNAKEE, Wis. (WMTV) - A group of men from the South who were traveling through Wisconsin captured a video of a Waunakee business refusing to serve them. David Grisham says he and four of his friends stopped at a Waunakee restaurant on their way back from the Republican National Convention. He says while trying to buy a meal, they were turned away.
Car crashes through garage roof of southeast Minnesota home
LA CRESCENT, Minn. — A motorist lost control of their car, went airborne and crashed into the garage roof of a southeastern Minnesota home on Thursday morning.WXOX reports it happened at about 10:30 a.m. in the city of La Crescent, just across the Mississippi River from La Crosse, Wisconsin.The motorist drove off County Road 25, down a steep embankment and onto the home's attached garage below.No one was home at the time. WXOX reports the motorist was hospitalized and is in stable condition as of Thursday evening.
