    Fairfax police call out helicopter, K-9 units to investigate attempted abduction

    FAIRFAX, VA. ( DC News Now ) — Fairfax City police said an adult was almost abducted Wednesday afternoon.

    Officers from the Fairfax City Police Department were in the 10200 block of Main St. to investigate an attempted abduction.

    That victim was being evaluated as a precaution, Fairfax City police said.

    The person believed to be responsible for the attempt last was seen on foot near 10200 Main St. in a wooded area, wearing a white, striped shirt. According to police, he and the victim do not know each other.

    A police helicopter and K-9 units were in the area.

    Fairfax police arrest man for robbing Safeway

    As of 5:50 p.m., officers began to clear the precise scene, although the police department said officers would stay in the area.

    Because police had not located the person responsible, they asked people to call 911 if they saw anything suspicious.
