The caller reported seeing the incident occur approximately 30 minutes earlier on security cameras. A description of the suspect was provided to Fairfield officers.

A short time later, Officer Andrew VanderWal located a male matching the description of the suspect in the parking lot of the PNC Bank on Little Falls Road. As he got out of his vehicle to speak with the man, the suspect ran from the officer and disobeyed commands to stop. He was apprehended a short time later with the help of other officers.

Logan was taken to police headquarters, where he was found to be in possession of a window punch. He was subsequently charged with burglary, possession of burglar’s tools, and resisting arrest, then transported to the Essex County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
