    Suspect flown to hospital after West Chester pursuit, Fairfield crash

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — An investigation is underway after a pursuit in Butler County.

    Friday around 3 p.m., an officer with the West Chester Police Department was in a pursuit of a person believed to be wanted on numerous warrants, including domestic violence and weapons charges, according to a department spokesperson.

    Police report the pursuit reportedly ended in a crash on Mack Road in Fairfield.

    Two people sustained apparent “minor injuries,” while the suspect was flown to UC Medical Center with unknown injuries. According to the spokesperson, the officer “sustained no apparent injuries.”

    Although the pursuit investigation is being handled by West Chester, the crash will be handled by Fairfield Police Department.
