Women’s church group hosts STARR

Women of the Church at Harmony Presbyterian Church in Fairfield recently hosted STARR Resiliency Agency’s, Lashanda Marshall, Director of Strategy and Growth, and Karen Daniels, Case Manager.

The guests shared information about STARR, Fairfield’s temporary foster care facility for children ages 5-17. The agency provides a safe environment for up to 90 days to children who are in immediate physical danger within the Texas Department and Family Services system.

All children living at STARR attend a school in the Fairfield Independent School District. Ways for the community to help these children while living in Fairfield were explored.
