Vt. regulator approves $17M UVM Medical Center purchase of Fanny Allen campus
MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont regulators have approved UVM Medical Center’s plan to purchase the Fanny Allen campus in Colchester. The hospital in January asked the Green Mountain Care Board to buy the facility for $17.3 million. The facility is owned by Covenant Health which leases it to the hospital for outpatient clinics and offices including rehabilitation therapy and pharmacy services.
Milton to host National Night Out on Aug. 6
Milton's annual National Night Out is set to take place on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5:30-8 p.m. in Bombardier Park, located at 20 Park Place. A new biography on early Vermont trailblazer Ira Allen is slated for release on Sept. 13. It is the first published book on Allen to come out in nearly a century. While Allen might be most well-known for his influence in landing the University of Vermont in Burlington, he also at one point in time, owned virtually all of Colchester. On paper, he was also Colchester’s first-ever town clerk.
