Robert Schrock
Robert William Schrock, 83, of Somerset, died June 28, 2024 at his home. Born September 7, 1940 in Meyersdale, he is the son of Harry W. and Gladys E. (Martz) Schrock. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Shirley Mae Warnick. Survived by his sons Robert W. Schrock Jr. and wife Lisa of Fort Hill, and Michael Schrock and wife Becci of Harrisburg, grandchildren Emily, Eric, Kathryn, and Alexis, great-granddaughter Sofia, and sister Linda M. Deal of Meyersdale. Robert was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, he worked as a self employed dairy farmer later for 7 Springs Resort where he retired, he also enjoyed watching television. Friends received 6-8 p.m Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10 a.m Tuesday with Pastor Douglas Baker officiating. Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority (GARA) seeks new executive director
At the June 25th Cumberland Township Board of Supervisors meeting, Supervisor Warren Shepherd announced that GARA Executive Director, Erin Peddigree, has resigned as of July 12th. An active search for a replacement has begun already. Ms. Peddigree was instrumental in bringing the Adams County Farmers Market to its new location at the Park; setting up the annual Summer Concert Series, among other festivities and programs; and tirelessly working on ground and facility improvements to the campus.
Flag pole project underway at Everett

Obituaries : Jackie Lee Kimm
Jackie Lee Kimm was born on November 15, 1935 in Blairstown, Iowa and died in Frostburg, Maryland on June 25, 2024. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, San Diego in 1953 and was honorably discharged July 2, 1956. He was honored for being a member of The American Legion for 60 years. He was an Auto Body Mechanic for 50 years.
