Meet ‘Mr. Green’ – again – at ANC 3F’s Aug. 5 meeting on its medical cannabis dispensary application
The Van Ness neighborhood’s first introduction to Mr. Green, a business now applying to the DC Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration (ABCA) for a medical marijuana license, was over a few days in March. A “Coming Soon” banner appeared at 4302 Connecticut Avenue, indicating a recreational cannabis gifting shop would be moving in.

Region's median home-listing price hovering just under $600,000
It’s a doldrums-of-summer thing: The median listing price of a home across the Washington region for the week ending July 28 remained just below the $600,000 mark. The $599,000 figure was down 0.2 percent from a week before but up 4.2 percent from a year ago, according to Bright MLS, the region’s multiple-listing service. And it is about $50,000 lower than the all-time weekly peak, set in May.
Tennis court improvements coming to Woodley Hills
The decaying tennis courts at Woodley Hills Park in Mount Vernon will soon undergo a complete renovation. According to a recent news item from Fairfax County, the Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) plans to make substantial repairs to both courts, including crack and crevice filling, installation of new fencing and a complete construction-level repair. The $204,000 project will be paid for using American Rescue Plan Act funds, said FCPA spokesperson Ben Boxer.

Four people arrested for a robbery after returning to the scene of the crime
WASHINGTON — Four people are in custody after they walked past the crime scene while officers were investigating the robbery they are accused of committing. Officers were flagged down on Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. by the victim who said he had been robbed along U Street, Northwest. The victim told police he was jumped by four people. The group then stole his stuff before running away.
