A home merchandise store in Fairview Heights will soon become Gabe’s department store.
Jacob Maslanka, store manager for Old Time Pottery at 10785 Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights, confirmed by phone that the location will transition to a Gabe’s store.
He said the store is currently holding an inventory reduction sale with discounts of up to 40% off all merchandise.
Gabe’s (Gabriel Brothers Inc.) acquired Tennessee-based Old Time Pottery in April 2023, which at that time included 38 stores in 11 states , according to an April 19, 2023, press release from Gabe’s.
“The combined companies will strategically expand their complimentary footprints to 169 stores, operating in 20 states, with the support of six distribution centers, and will serve an expanded customer base throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southeast,” stated the release.
Fairview Heights Land Use and Development Director Dallas Alley said that Gabe’s recently applied for work permits to make minor changes to the building interior.
A timeline for the store transition was not immediately available.
An inquiry requesting more information was sent to the Gabe’s media relations team.
A Gabe’s store is also located in St. Charles, Missouri.
