It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. Miner injured at southern West Virginia mine has died, governor says
RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A coal miner who was injured at a southern West Virginia mine earlier this month has died, the state’s governor said Wednesday. Ashley Cogar, 33, of Erbacon, W.Va., died Wednesday morning from injuries suffered in a mining incident on July 12 at the Wyco Surface Mine in Raleigh County, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
