    Duplin County man charged with breaking and entering, larceny from storage units

    MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. (WNCT) — A man was arrested July 11 in connection to the breaking and entering of storage units in Faison.

    The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office received calls on July 3 and July 9 reporting the crimes taking place. They found that hand tools, yard tools and kitchen items had been stolen.

    An investigation led to Michael Sauls being a suspect in the crimes. Law enforcement searched Sauls’ home in Mount Olive and found many of the items that were reported stolen.

    Sauls was taken into custody and charged with:

    • Two counts felony breaking and/or entering
    • Two counts felony larceny
    • Two counts possession of stolen goods
    • Obtaining property by false pretense

    Sauls was jailed in the Duplin County Jail under a $70,000 secured bond.
