4th of July Kids Parade in Salisbury
Celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the 4th of July Kids Parade in Downtown Salisbury, North Carolina. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 217 S Main Street, and ends at Rowan Museum, 202 N Main Street. Downtown Salisbury is about 42 miles from Charlotte. It’s closer to Concord, Kannapolis, and other towns and cities near the northern I-85 corridor.

Charlotte’s Nucor Steel Building New $20 Million Rebar Factory in Davidson County
This new facility will be adjacent to Nucor’s steel rebar micro mill in Lexington, about 30 miles northeast of Charlotte. The average annual wage for jobs at the new plant will be $65,000, surpassing the county’s average wage of $51,201. The facility’s new jobs could generate an annual payroll impact of more than $1.6 million for the region.
