BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Falconer man was sentenced to an indeterminate state prison sentence of four to 12 years for intentionally starting a fire that consumed two houses in July 2022, the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.

30-year-old Aubrey Baize intentionally started the fire in Kennedy, located in the Town of Poland, that also damaged other houses nearby, officials said. He was convicted of third-degree arson in April 2024.

The residents of the affected homes also lost valuable items, property and family pets, the district attorney’s office said.
