Falls police have charged a second person with shooting into an occupied Falls home nearly two years ago following a fight in a school parking lot that started over a fake social media account.

Falls resident Corey “C.J.” Tulband, 20, is facing 70 charges including 16 counts each of aggravated assault and discharging a gun into an occupied structure, both felonies. He is free after posting 10% of his $100,000 bail.

Reached Thursday, his attorney, Gregg Shore, said that he looked forward to "vigorously defending" his client against the charges.

Eight people, including an 11-year-old, were inside the Willow Drive home when the shooting happened on Aug. 23, 2022, but no injuries were reported, police said.

Falls police charged Gavin Stanec, 20, of Middletown, last year in the shooting. He was sentenced last month to time served and four years probation after pleading guilty to discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and related charges.

Stanec provided police new information about the shooting last year that resulted in the arrest of Tulband, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Falls police learned about the shooting from the homeowner while checking the area around the Levittown Parkway and Willow Way following a report of gunfire following a road rage incident.

Police found seven 9-millimeter casings and one 45-caliber casing in the street near the Willow Drive house, the affidavit said.

The next day police executed a search warrant and collected bullets from inside the home including one bullet that went through a wall and struck a pillow on a bed. The damage to the home was estimated at more than $5,000, police said.

Police learned that three of the eight people inside the home at the time of the shooting were involved in a large fight earlier that night in the parking lot of the Penn Valley Elementary School.

The fight was reportedly sparked by accusations involving a fake Instagram account used to desecrate the memory of a 17-year-old Falls boy who died in a car accident in December 2021, the affidavit said.

The brother of the boy who died, as well as Tulband, were involved in the fight, police said.

Police were not called while the fight was happening. Four people were injured with sharp objects during the fight, according to a probable cause affidavit for Tulband.

Falls police later learned that a Dodge Durango, one of the vehicles suspected in the shooting, was registered to a relative of Corey Tulband. The vehicle had damage to the driver side door and mirror and the vehicle was impounded.

Police executed search warrants on Tulband’s apartment and the Dodge Durango and recovered a .45-caliber pistol, holster, a black folding knife and four .45-rounds.

In November 2023, police spoke with Stanec who told police that his girlfriend at the time got a call from Tulband who was “flipping out” because two friends were stabbed during the Penn Valley Elementary fight, the affidavit said.

Tulband told Stanec to meet him at his apartment and they met up with a third male, and Tulband drove them in the Dodge Durango to Penn Valley Elementary but when they didn’t find anyone, they went to a home in the Willowood section of Levittown.

Stanec initially alleged that Tulband and the other male fired the guns at the home on Willow Drive of a boy in retaliation for the stabbings at the school and the fake Instagram account, the affidavit said. Stanec also alleged that Tulband shot the Durango.

The three returned to the apartment complex after the shooting and went to another person’s home to dispose of the firearms, the affidavit said. Tulband subsequently removed the license plate on the Durango, authorities said.

In a second interview in January, Stanec admitted he lied about what happened the night of the shooting including the involvement of a third male, the use of a second gun, and how the gun and license plate were disposed of.

Stanec also admitted he also shot at the Willow Drive house while driving his then-girlfriend’s car, the affidavit said.
