Linden Public Schools STEM Camp Inspires Middle Schoolers
Linden, NJ - Linden Public Schools Summer Middle School STEM Camp concluded its thrilling two-week journey today with an exciting field trip to Merck Headquarters! Superintendent Atiya Cunningham-Perkins visited the camp to meet our enthusiastic 5th to 8th graders and will join them at Merck. Reflecting on their passions, they explored careers, dove into the engineering design process, and embraced engineering habits of mind. This collaborative experience fostered a deep appreciation for science and empowered our students to pursue their passions with confidence and enthusiasm! The 23 students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades were guided by tech instructors Cynthia LaFace, a 7th-grade science teacher at McManus Middle School, and Kim Terwilliger, a 6th-grade science teacher at Soehl Middle School.
