Carteret House Fire Victim Airlifted to Hospital
CARTERET, NJ — A badly burned man was helicoptered to a Livingston hospital on Sunday after a two-alarm fire broke out in the basement of a Roosevelt Avenue home. The cause of the June 7th fire at 694 Roosevelt Avenue – near Hayward Avenue and down the street from the Nathan Hale School – remains under investigation, authorities said. Driver killed in Englishtown crash July 4 identified as North Brunswick woman
Jennifer Rodriguez, 30, of North Brunswick died at the scene of the crash that occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Rodriguez was driving a 2001 SUV south on Route 527 — Main Street — when she apparently lost control, hit a guardrail and overturned just south of the Gordons Corner Road intersection, police said.
