Faribault Police Chief John Sherwin sends the ball to the outfield after it was pitched by Rice County Attorney Brian Mortenson during a charity softball game last August at North Alexander Field. Another round of charity softball will take place from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday night at North Alexander Park, this time with a team of Northfield Police and Fire departments and a team of the Department of Corrections staff in Faribault, all raising money for the HOPE Center in Faribault.
