    What makes an intersection dangerous?

The rankings are based on the number of reported crashes that occured within 200 feet of the intersection during 2023. The number of injuries reported in the accidents is also included in the list.

    What defines an intersection?

An intersection is defined as any road with a traffic signal, four-way stop or roundabout. The crash data includes any traffic accident reported resulting in injury or fatalities that occurred within 200 feet of an intersection including near freeways, divided highways and rural rounds.

Michigan Auto Law launched a campaign to put billboards around several key intersections that consistently showed up on the list to promote safety. The firm encourages residents to take alternate routes and be extra cautious when driving on intersections throughout the state.
