Art studio brings Shark Week to the local area
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Shark Week has become known as an annual week long programming block on the Discovery Channel; that explores all of cool, unique things that make our cold-blooded friends who they are. A lot has changed since the week long tv block first aired in 1988, but the anticipation and excitement for the week every July seems to grow every year. While Sharks might not necessarily be a common thing to find in the Mountain State, one local art studio is still helping local shark enthusiasts by meeting their needs. The Wow Factory located in Star City has been a staple local art studio in the Morgantown area for over a decade. Studio Manager, Monica McGraw, saw the opportunity that next week presented to do something unique and jumped at it.
AAA says it’s a record travel weekend
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A record number of Americans are traveling this holiday weekend, according to a report from the Mid-Atlantic Division of AAA. “Our forecast actually includes two weekends,” Stanley said. “Historically, we only included one weekend of travel, but since this holiday falls on Thursday, we’re seeing that people are taking the entire week.”
