Higher temps and clearer skies remain until Monday
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Well NCWV, we are in the weekend now and these temperatures are remaining hot for tomorrow. High temperatures are going to be in the low to mid 90s in the lowlands and the low to mid 80s in the higher elevations on Sunday. Mostly clear skies will remain throughout tomorrow as well. As we get into Monday in the early morning, we will start to see an increase in cloud coverage as a frontal system approaches the area. Rain showers and storms look to start in NCWV around mid-morning Monday. Rainfall can be heavy at times, especially in thunderstorms with up to 2 inches of rainfall possible all the way up to midweek next week, but with current drought conditions in NCWV, this rainfall is definitely welcome. High temperatures will drop Monday quite significantly, getting into the low to mid 80s in the lowlands and the mid 70s in the higher elevations. Vienna officials include North Star Child Advocacy Center in budget
VIENNA — On Monday, North Star Child Advocacy Center received a check from the City of Vienna for $15,000. Vienna City Council voted to include North Star in the budget to help support its mission. Of the 21 child advocacy centers in West Virginia, nine are receiving county funding and three are receiving municipal funding.

The offers continue to fly out from WVU basketball as the coaching staff offered a pair of high school guards this week. 2025 four-star Kelvin Odih and 2027’s Jacob Canton both picked up offers from West Virginia.
