    Fayetteville deputy police chief arrested on suspicion of DWI

    Bradley Renfro, second in command at the Fayetteville Police Department, is on administrative leave after being arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to the department .

    What happened: A state trooper pulled over a truck driven by Renfro on Wedington Drive and Fieldstone Avenue in Fayetteville at about 10:40pm Wednesday because of a defective headlight, according to Fayetteville PD.


    • He was also arrested on suspicion of refusing to submit to a chemical test.

    The latest: Renfro was released from the Washington County jail at about 4am today on a $1,105 bond, according to the detention center .

    What's next: The Arkansas State Police is conducting the criminal investigation. The Fayetteville Police Department is conducting an internal investigation while Renfro is on leave.

    • His court date is Sept. 9.
