Star WR could help Arkansas play spoilers with a breakout season after a strong start to fall camp

The Arkansas Razorbacks are obviously not a team you can stencil in as one that will compete for the SEC championship in 2024, let alone a College Football Playoff spot. They just aren't expected to be good, so why would anyone predict they are one of the 12 top teams in the country? But, it is college football and anything is possible.

A role I see more for them in 2024, is one that sees them as the team that top teams in the SEC really don't want to play. I don't see them as even an eight-win team, but they could be a team that does compete week in and week out and makes it tough on opponents. Even last year they were pretty close to beating Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium

There will be games where they may get blown out. I mean, they play the hardest schedule in football for crying out loud. And, there will be games where they lose but still look very good against good teams. Most of all, I think this team is in a position to play spoiler in 2024 and be a team that can upset some teams and fans. What better role is there for the hogs?

And, with how fall camp is going so far for them, they may have a new weapon to help them do that, too.

Of course, K.J. Jefferson is no longer in Fayetteville , but now in Orlando, Florida. Now they have QB Taylen Green, who has looked great so far in the offseason and was hand-picked by legendary coach Bobby Petrino for a reason.

With fall camp kicking off this week, we have already seen some crazy highlights from Green, and one of the,m involved a star wide receiver making a pretty crazy catch on Thursday.

Tyrone Broden rose up to get a ball that was probably somewhat of a bad pass and snagged it with one hand. It's easily been the catch-and-play of camp so far. If Broden, in a loaded wide receiver room of him, Andrew Armstrong, Isaiah Setegna, and Isaac TeSlaa, continues to make great plays, he can be a huge reason the Hogs do play spoiler in 2024.

He has great size at 6'7", and will easily be used as a red zone target, along with Jaedon Wilson. Broden has great hands and a decent speed for a guy his size. If he keeps working, who knows what he can accomplish in 2024?
