FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) – The Lions Club of Fayetteville made it their mission to help the community. At the Fayetteville 4th of July Celebration, they were a guiding light to help others.

The Lions Club sold Rattlesnake Walking Sticks for their ‘sight conservation’ cause. The club had everything from small sticks for kiddos to full size sticks. Club President Stanley Boyd told 59News what exactly the money goes towards.

“We have a lot of project, we do a lot of sight conservation. We help people get eyes exams and such,” said Boyd.

The club also hosts events for kids such as wrestling matches, vo-tech scholarships and track meets to name a few. The club is also reaching out to younger members to join. If interested, people can visit their local Lions Club for applications.
