Easton Town Council passes ordinance to prohibit outdoor music at night
EASTON — A new ordinance to prohibit outdoor music after 10 p.m. was passed by the Easton Town Council on Monday. It comes after residents expressed concerns about excessive noise coming from the Tidewater Inn on Dover Street. Seaford City Council approves final site plan for Nylon Capital project
The Seaford City Council approved the final site plan for the renovations and development of the Nylon Innovation Center. Mike Riemann of Becker Morgan Group presented the overview of the Nylon Capital project and addressed parking requirements. The design improves safety and traffic control, pedestrian connectivity, access points, and improved sidewalks.
Laurel: Portion of Mount Zion Road to Close Starting July 8
LAUREL, DE - DELDOT announced the closure for a construction project. The Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT) announced the closure of Mt. Zion Road between Seaford Road and Sussex Highway starting on Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 26. Officials say it will allow for the replacement of a cross road pipe.

Talbot County's oldest firehouse is raising funds for reconstruction
TRAPPE — The oldest firehouse in Talbot County, the Trappe Volunteer Fire Company, is raising funds for much-needed reconstruction. Nick Newnam, chief of the Trappe Volunteer Fire Company described the building’s structure as “questionable at best.” According to Newnam, the current firehouse structure dates from 1951 and no longer serves the needs of a modern fire company. ADU regs a step in right direction
With the passage of less-restrictive regulations for accessory dwelling units, Sussex County Council has taken a step in offering more options for affordable housing. ADUs have been a housing option since the late 1990s. Before the changes, the units were designated as garage-studio apartments with strict regulations, including no kitchens, which are now allowed.
