Iron Mountain house heavily damaged by fire
IRON MOUNTAIN, MI— No one was injured in an Iron Mountain house fire Tuesday night. Crews were dispatched around 7:11 p.m. to 901 East G Street. They found light smoke coming from the attic and heavy smoke from the front of the home. Firefighters requested mutual aid from the Kingsford and Breitung Township fire departments.

Northern Wisconsin Man Sentenced To 13 Years On U.P. Sex Conviction
U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten today announced that Todd Stafford, 60, of Bailey’s Harbor, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 156 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release after being convicted of coercion and enticement of a minor and two counts of travel in interstate commerce with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
