NORWAY, Mich. (WLUC) - Horse riding enthusiasts were at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds in Norway to show off their skills on Saturday. Making difficult tight turns and bursts were among the many timed events racers participated in. According to organizers, the Heather Janssen Memorial Show is an event that brings the community together. Head Organizer Liz Minkler said Janssen was a veteran horse rider heavily involved in the horse-riding community.
Republic Sportsman Club gears up for 34th annual fishing derby
REPUBLIC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) -This weekend, more than 300 people will compete in a fishing competition in Republic Township. The Republic Sportsman Club is hosting its 34th Annual Fishing Derby. The event began on Friday with live music and a parade. Organizers said Saturday will consist of fishing and fireworks.
New shop to honor Wishing Well Gifts in Iron Mountain

Mully & Mo’s owner Sammantha Swanson-DeJesus will open a new store inside the former Wishing Well Gifts shop.
