Forsyth Township Public Library hosts FOAMO Party in the Park
GWINN, Mich. (WLUC) - Kids in Gwinn had a chance to enjoy some good, clean fun on Tuesday. The Forsyth Township Public Library hosted a FOAMO Pary in the Park. Kids ran through walls of foam from a bubble machine, blew their own bubbles, and enjoyed free snow cones at Peter Nordeen Park in Gwinn.
Carpenter Road construction continues in Kingsford
KINGSFORD, Mich. (WLUC) - Construction along Carpenter Road in Kingsford has hit some delays. Poor weather and a lack of space has reduced productivity. MDOT Construction Engineer Steve Cadeau expects construction to move north from Hamilton Street by the end of next week. He says drivers should soon expect detours.

New regional cancer care center celebrated in Iron Mountain with ribbon-cutting ceremony
IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The completion of the new regional cancer care center at Marshfield Medical Center, Dickinson, was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce. The event, which marked the completion of the new regional cancer care center project which broke ground last summer, drew a large crowd and featured speeches from medical staff and state legislators. Attendees were offered guided tours of the state-of-the-art facilities, and Marshfield staff expressed gratitude to Gundlach Champion and the design team for their dedication to the project.
Florence football's family tradition continues as Frappolli takes over top job from father
Joe Frappolli has done every job within the Florence High School football program. Now, the 45-year-old has the top job. Frappolli was approved as the new head football coach at the school in late May, keeping his family tradition going into the future. He takes over for his father, Joe, the legendary coach who guided the Flashes to 337 victories over a 50-year tenure before stepping down in November.
