Massive Cougar Spotted In SE Hillsboro On Ring Camera
As a kid, I spent my formative years in NW Montana, just off the Flathead Lake, helping my folks run a fishing resort on 250 acres of wild Montana forest. It might as well have been a nature preserve. We ran into many black bears. Moose, Elk, and deer too. Badgers all the time. Lynx and Bobcat. Worst of all Wolverines. Well, there was one animal I would say was the most terrifying: the majestic but extremely dangerous Mountain Lion, aka Cougar, Puma, Catamount, Panther.

This story first appeared in the Oct. 9, 2013 edition of WW. Forget the Arab Spring: For me, the true power of social media emerged on July 14, 2009, the day Dave Chappelle shut down Portland. It seemed like the makings of a very successful hoax. Turns out, it was just poor event planning.
