Iconic Mural to be Restored and Rededicated to the Japanese Community
One of Olympia’s most iconic murals, “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” is soon to be restored and then rededicated to Olympia’s Japanese American community. The restoration work will be completed by local artists in partnership with the Olympia Japanese American Citizens League and Rainbow Community Arts.

Federal officials have approved Oregon’s request to offer free Medicaid services for addiction and some other services to people who are on the verge of being released from jail or prison, something that’s prohibited by federal law. VANCOUVER, B.C. — After extra innings, the Spokane Indians and came out on top with a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canadians on Friday. With this win, the Indians are once again leading the Northwest League. Before this win, they were tied for first with the Vancouver Canadians. If the Indians are able to pull off a sweep in this series, it will determine who ends up with that first place spot at the end of the regular season.
