Dover Man Charged after Laundry Burglary
A Dover man has been arrested after a burglary Monday morning at the Laundry Lagoon on South Dupont Highway in Dover. During their investigation, Dover Police found that around 1am a suspect entered an unsecured door at the business and damaged a vending machine and stole merchandise before leaving. Police identified 32 year old Tyler Keenan as the suspect – he was arrested at a nearby business.

Delaware State University celebrating 31 years as an institution
DOVER, Del. – Happy anniversary to Delaware State University!. They’re celebrating 31 years since the transition from Delaware State College in 1993. Over the years the school has made changes to expand their programming, including adding a doctoral and associates program and education opportunities in Jamaica and Barbados. Enrollment at the school has doubled to more than 6,000 students over the years. In 2021, DSU became the first Historically Black College and University to acquire another HBCU, Wesley College. The school’s research has also raised millions of dollars from federal agencies.
DSU Professor explains the SCOTUS ruling for the presidential immunity case
DELMARVA – The Supreme Court of the United States justices ruled 6-3 for broad immunity on Former President Donald Trump’s immunity case. Across the nation, many are speaking out on the importance a ruling like this has on presidential power. Constitutional Scholar from DSU Dr. Sam Hoff broke it down for WMDT. This ruling means that Trump and any other president has immunity for official acts made as president, but not immunity for personal acts made while serving as president. For former president Trump, this ruling impacts his trial surrounding his role in the January 6th insurrection.
Twelve Delaware Restaurants Awarded for their Wines
Culinary magazine Wine Spectator has awarded 12 of Delaware's restaurants for their wine. “The restaurant industry is growing and thriving, with restaurant openings surpassing pre-pandemic levels for the first time. To take advantage of the uptick, restaurateurs are investing in their wine programs,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “Restaurants that make wine a priority are what the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards program is all about.
