ORLANDO, Florida — A man was arrested early Friday morning after Orlando police responded to a call about shots fired near North Orange Avenue and East Colonial Drive. On July 21, at approximately 4 a.m., the Orlando Police Department received a report of shots fired in the vicinity of North Orange Avenue and East Colonial Drive. Officers located a suspect vehicle matching the description near South Orange Avenue and East Robinson Street. Inside the SUV, investigators observed an AR-style pistol on the lap of the passenger, prompting a high-risk traffic stop.

A 2-year-old boy who was reported lost on a 10-acre Osteen-area property was found dead in a canal in an apparent accidental drowning.
