The latest data from June 2024 shows a 4.2 percent unemployment rate for the eight-county San Antonio- New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area (MSA). The unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in May and 3.3. percent in April. Statewide unemployment is at 4.5 percent, up from 3.8 percent in May.
