BARRE, Vt. — Thunder Road officials have announced a new date for this year's Governor's Cup race. After the original race date for the 45th Vermont Governor's Cup had to be postponed due to severe storms, Thunder Road officials confirmed that the highly-anticipated race will now take place on Thursday, July 11.
