Young boy struck by vehicle in Firestone Park July 11 has died
The young boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Firestone Park on July 11 has died, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. Kingston Solomon, 7, passed away the next day, July 12, at Akron Children's Hospital at 2:35 p.m. His death was from blunt force trauma to the head and was ruled an accident, Gary Guenther of the medical examiner's office said.

EST Gee's manager was reportedly shot and killed in his car following the rapper's hometown show. On Monday (July 22), local Louisville news station WLKY reported that 31-year-old Devontae Beach had been found shot multiple times inside a car in downtown Louisville early on Sunday morning (July 21). Other outlets including TMZ reported that Beach was EST Gee's current manager, and went by EST Beach. The shooting occurred in the 800 block of West Main Street, with EMS pronouncing Beach dead at the scene. There are no suspects at this time.

A man is facing a felony charge after Cheyenne police were called to a disturbance with a gun in Lions Park early Sunday morning. According to a booking sheet, 47-year-old Broomfield, Colorado resident Nathan Higgs was arrested at 1 a.m. on July 21, 2024, after police contacted him in the east parking lot of the Cheyenne Aquatic Center in Lions Park.
Horse rescued after found stuck in creek in Berthoud
A horse that was found stuck and partially submerged in a creek bottom, was rescued by members of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and Berthoud Fire Protection District on Saturday. According to the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, members from Rescue 42 and Collapse Rescue 42 responded to assist the Berthoud Fire Protection District with a horse rescue southwest of the town. It is unknown how long the 24-year-old horse was stuck before being found. Rescue personnel rescued the horse from the creek and were able to move it away from the water. When the horse was safely away from the creek, a veterinarian provided treatment for the horse and checked it for injuries.
