Decatur County Fair Winding Down
(Greensburg, IN) – This is the final day of the 2024 Decatur County 4-H Fair. There were several improvements made to the fairgrounds coming into this year’s event. These include a cover over the cattle wash bay, and a new road to the track that keeps traffic away from horses and the animal shelter area.

Cummins Receives $75M Federal Grant to Expand Accelera Zero-Emissions Manufacturing in Indiana
Cummins has secured $75 million to convert approximately 360,000 sq. ft. of existing manufacturing space at its Columbus Engine Plant (CEP) in Indiana for zero-emissions components and electric powertrain systems. This grant is part of the appropriations related to the Inflation Reduction Act and is the largest federal grant ever awarded solely to Cummins.
Franklin College professor attends World War II seminar
FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College Associate Professor of History, Lourdes Hurtado, Ph.D., attended the Faculty Seminar on World War II History in late June. Chosen through a competitive application process, Hurtado was among approximately 20 distinguished participants invited by the Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy.
