Woman arrested for resisting arrest, attempt to disarm an officer
COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Deputy Ryan Smith was heading north on State Street on Friday just before 3 p.m. when he observed a southbound SUV being driven erratically. He reported the SUV going about 80 mph, swerving, and recklessly passing other vehicles. He activated his emergency lights and siren to catch up to the car.

NEW BUSINESS TO LOCATE NEAR URANUS
(Richmond, IN)--An ordinance for the new Uranus Fudge Factory on the former New Creations property at the state line was referred to the Richmond Plan Commission Monday night. But there was also discussion of another new business adjacent to that property. It would be located in the former New Creations gym. "Professional wrestling, bands, concerts..." said Council President Gary Turner in describing some of the events that would take place. The business's name was not mentioned Monday night. Turner said that there is a potential zoning issue and that the business is scheduled to open on the first of next month.
