Rock Legends Aerosmith have announced their retirement from touring! Because of lead singer Steven Tyler's severe vocal cord Injury that he suffered last year, the iconic rockers shared that they have cancelled their ''Peace Out Farewell Tour'' and have officially retired from touring.

The announcement came on Friday, August 2, 2024 on Instagram and reads “It was 1970 when a spark of inspiration became Aerosmith. Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark caught flame and has been burning for over five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and all of you are the reason we made rock ‘n’ roll history.''

The heartbreaking post continues ''It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours. In every club, on every massive tour and at moments grand and private you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your lives. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision," and stating "as a band of brothers—to retire from the touring stage.'' They added at the end ''PLAY OUR MUSIC LOUD, NOW AND ALWAYS, DREAM ON. YOU'VE MADE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE.''

The vocal chord injury Steven Tyler suffered happened in September of 2023 and unfortunately they have said that a full recovery "is not possible" for the charismatic frontman. Aerosmith is known for several hit singles including; "Dream On", "Back in the Saddle", "Dude Looks Like a Lady", "Love in An Elevator" and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" just to name a few.
