One dead in crash east of Florence on Highway 115

(FLORENCE, Colo.) — According to the Florence Police Department (FPD), one person has died following a crash at Highway 115 and Highway 120 on Wednesday morning.
FPD said officers originally responded just before 6:30 a.m. on a report of a crash involving a truck and a pedestrian. FPD confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that one person had died as a result of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, FPD said.

According to the City of Florence, Colorado Highway 115 and Highway 120 are back open to traffic, as of 10 a.m.

According to the City of Florence , the intersection of Highway 115 and Highway 120 is closed due to a major crash on Wednesday, June 26, at about 8 a.m. The Florence Police Department is asking that all drivers avoid the area.
The City of Florence announced the following detours:
Traffic heading from Florence to Penrose is being routed to Highway 120.
Traffic from Penrose to Florence is being rerouted to Highway 50, where drivers can take Highway 67 into Florence.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and other agencies are on scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
