MADISON, NJ - A fire in the broiler was reported at the Burger King in Madison on July 2, around 5:15 p.m. Shortly after, a second 9-1-1 call reported visible flames from the roof. The Madison Fire Department and EMS division arrived minutes later and confirmed the fire within the structure, stated Madison officials. A 2nd alarm was transmitted, bringing additional support from Chatham Borough, Florham Park, and Morristown Fire Departments, as well as Chatham and Florham Park EMS. Jersey City street remains closed from damage caused by train striking bridge
A portion of a busy Jersey City street will remain closed for repair work after a freight train struck an overpass last week. Work is being performed in the area of the Baldwin Avenue bridge over rail tracks to build a “bypass” for a 20-inch water main, causing the closure of the street from Magnolia Avenue to High Street.

MILLBURN, NJ – Town Hall Plaza opened on Tuesday, July 2, and residents experienced the township's new eating, drinking, music and entertainment summer destination. It’s located on a one-way street behind the town hall and will remain closed to motorists until September 2. On Wednesdays through Sundays between 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., patrons can enjoy dining in the space.
