A jaw-dropping video of a Florida man enticing an alligator to his boat to crack open a beer has taken social media by storm.
The viral footage captures the moment the daredevil leans out of the boat, beer can in hand, as the gator approaches. He daringly uses the alligator's sharp teeth to pop the can open, to the delight and cheers of his companions. One of them then guzzles down the beer.
" Florida man uses a gator to open a beer can," tweeted Wall Street Silver on X. The clip has racked up over two million views on the platform, reports the Express US . "Tell me you're from Florida without telling me you're from Florida," joked one viewer, commenting on the video.
Florida is home to approximately 1.3 million alligators, reports the state's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
In a chilling incident last month, the FWC shared bodycam footage of the terrifying aftermath of a woman's death caused by a 13-foot alligator in Largo, Florida.
Sabrina Peckham, 41, tragically lost her life last September when she was pulled into a canal by the gator.

A passerby raised the alarm after witnessing the reptile holding what seemed to be a human body in its jaws.
At the time, Peckham was described as "transient" residing at a temporary campsite near the canal where the deadly attack occurred.
The report was unclear about when Peckham encountered the reptile, and there were no indications that the alligator had been in the area.
FWC officers secured the alligator's mouth and used ropes to extract it from the canal. They then dissected it to retrieve some of the remains.
